Children and grandchildren of Lawrence and Gunaseeli are celebrating through this web offering their obedience and commitment to God’s call. It is 20+ years since Lawrence went to be with the Lord and 5+ years since Gunaseeli went to be with the Lord but we continue to see and hear evidence of the fruits of their ministry.
During their years of ministry, Lawrence and GunaSeeli authored many sermons and biblical stories. They were shared with others in the form of teaching, booklets and those who heard or read them were blessed. What makes these even more precious and special is that they were painstakingly handwritten and are legible and clear even today. It is our desire that these messages should touch and ignite the hearts of many. As you read and understand God’s word through this digital offering, may God bless you and your families. We give you a glimpse of how they came to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lawrence and Gunaseeli Devadasan were born to parents who were seen on their knees in the wee hours of the morning. Lawrence was an established athlete and held a lucrative job in an oil company. Gunaseeli taught in a renowned school in Chennai. At different times, both felt the call of God and entered full time ministry.
Early memories of our parents are of seeing them conduct good news clubs, bible study groups, training sessions, preaching in schools, churches, in the homes of friends and relatives, and most importantly in the slums of Chennai. Their passion, honesty and commitment will forever be engraved in our hearts and minds. They were both humble and served God faithfully till their last breath. Lawrence’s last words were, ‘Thank you Jesus’. We witnessed, Gunaseeli praying for others, even during the last 2 days of her life. Their love for God’s word was unwavering. Many of our friends and neighbours testify to the fact that Lawrence was seen at 3am in the morning reading the Bible and writing sermons and talks.
We believe each message/sermon and booklet for children will bless your heart and bring many children and adults to know more about Jesus and make a commitment to follow HIM. Subscriptions to this resource will go to Bible Centered Ministries, Tamil Nadu Branch where Lawrence and Gunaseeli served from 1977.
